Path of Miracles
Saturday 25 March, 7pm
St Luke's Anglican Church, Toowoomba
Saturday 1 April, 7pm
St John's Anglican Cathedral, Brisbane
The stunning Path of Miracles, by contemporary British composer Joby Talbot, takes listeners on a journey through northern Spain and the four staging posts along the Camino trail: Roncesvalles, Burgos, Léon, and Santiago. Walked annually by over 200,000 people from around the world, this pilgrimage route traces the footsteps of St James, the first Christian martyr and one of Jesus's disciples. Talbot's beautiful music, set for 17-part SATB choir and crotales (a bell-like percussion instrument) weaves together expressive vocal writing with text by Robert Dickinson. This intriguing, moving, exciting, and contemplative work was performed in Queensland for the first time by Fusion.

Soprano: Anna Harris, Emma Kann, Bronwyn Mitchell, Bonnie Pearce, Tamara Smith, Rebecca Thomas
Alto: Susan Creese, Melissa Hutchinson, Nicki Jenkins, Alisen McLeod, Emily Young

This was the most ethereal concert in the most beautiful setting. Fusion is amazing. They have a fabulous blend of voices, wonderful colours, just a perfect concert
Amazing atmosphere, and it very much gave a feeling of what it means to walk the Camino. I definitely felt transported, and the voices were perfect.
Brilliant … breathtaking! Thank you so much, Fusion.
